Timothy Louis Billington passed away on October 7, 2026 at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO with family at his side. Tim was born on June 6, 1951 in Benkelman, NE to Bill and Louise (Richard) Billington.

Tim grew up at the Rock Creek fish hatchery and attended school in Parks, NE later graduating from Benkelman high school class of 1969. After graduating Tim worked for several farmers throughout Dundy County and spent time with a custom cutting crew traveling throughout several states. Wanting to remain closer to home, Tim later drove a Rainbo bread truck and eventually settled into a career at Frenchman Valley Coop as a grain operator in McCook, NE.

When Tim was not found working, he could be found fishing and camping, watching old westerns, especially those featuring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood or reading his bible.

Tim was a member of First Baptist Church in McCook.

Tim is survived by his son, Ryan Billington; his daughter, Candice Rogers; his sister, Jayne (Dave) Bauerle; his brother, Steve (Deb) Billington; nephews, Ian Billington, David (Emily) Billington, Adam (Lindsey) Billington; his nieces, Jamilah (Nelson) Rosas and Alisa Bauerle.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2026 at Benkelman Memorial Chapel, 205 Buffalo Street, Benkelman, NE with Gregg Meyer and Dave Hogsett officiating. Inurnment to follow at Benkelman Cemetery, Benkelman, NE.
