Ruth Valjean Nunamaker

Ruth Valjean Nunamaker, born on January 30, 1941, in Templeton, PA, to Thomas Allen Kline and Laverne Edna Thompson, embarked on her final journey on May 29, 2024, at McCook Community Hospital in McCook, NE. She was a devoted wife to Paul Leslie Nunamaker, whom she married on April 18, 1959. Ruth was a Christian woman who dedicated many years to serving the Lord and sharing His teachings through various avenues such as Vacation Bible School and Sunday School for children. 
 
Ruth's love for traveling was matched only by her adoration for her family. She took great joy in supporting her grandchildren at their events and found immense happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, most recently doting on her great-grandchildren. Ruth peacefully transitioned with her beloved family by her side. 
 
She joins her parents, her husband, Paul Leslie Nunamaker, who passed away on November 13, 2017, along with other departed loved ones: June Lawaive Atherton, Tommy Kline (who passed in infancy), Philip Kline, and daughter-in-law Anne Nunamaker. 
 
Ruth Valjean Nunamaker is survived by her children, son, John Nunamaker; daughters, June and husband Joshua Boyd, Paula Brown and Edna Jessup; siblings, Larry Kline, Sherwood Kline, Georgia Jones; grandchildren Anthony Brown, Joshlynne and husband Jerod Corder, Natalie Boyd, Philip Boyd, Peter Boyd; great-grandchildren Jayelynn and Jameson Corder. She will be remembered fondly by all who were touched by her kindness and unwavering love. 
 
May Ruth Valjean Nunamaker's legacy of faith and family live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. 
 
Funeral Service will be held Monday June 3, 2024 at 10:00am (MT) at the Southwest Nebraska Holiness Church in Wauneta, NE with Pastor Lloyd Bley officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service.
