Ronald Clayton Leibhart

Ronald Clayton Leibhart was born on October 21, 1943 in Callaway, NE to Stanley Clayton and Hazel Harriett (Litchenberger) Leibhart. Ron grew up and attended schools in Callaway, later meeting Janet Klebel, and marrying her in Elwood NE in July of 1964.

The couple settled in the Cozad area until 1969 when opportunities moved them to Imperial. Ron worked in a variety of different fields. He helped his parents on the family ranch, worked as a well driller as well as an over the road truck driver. Ron married Linda Needham in Imperial in 1993.

When Ron wasn’t working to provide for his family, he enjoyed watching Husker football, volleyball, NASCAR, and old westerns. More importantly, he enjoyed spending time in the Snowy Mountain Range of Wyoming fishing and camping with his children and grandchildren.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Florine Roeder, sister-in-law, Kathy Leibhart and brothers-in-law, Denny Roeder and Billy Rader.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda; his children, Ronnie (Kristie) Leibhart, Cheryl (Scott) Cecil, Michael (Kristi) Leibhart, Daniel (Stacy) Leibhart, step daughter, Kelly (Matt) Holman. His grandchildren, Jessica Leibhart, Jennifer (Chris) Newman, James Leibhart, Rachael (Joe) Watts, Kyle (Meghan) Leibhart, Dalton (Abby) Leibhart, Zane, Chase, Cooper, Katelyn, Brock Leibhart, Christian, Jadeyn and Kaelynn; great grandchildren, Jaxx, Clairabelle, Alex, Jaxton, Finnick, Merric and Pierce. Ron’s Brothers, Paul (Rita), Ricky, Brad (Pam) Leibhart, sisters, Connie Rader and Cindy (Bill) Bardsley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ron’s family for a designation later.

Private Inurnment will take place in July.
