Rick Keith Kimble, born on February 4, 1949, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Lloyd and Vesta (Rhoads) Kimble passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, in Denver, Colorado.
A graduate of Chase County High School in 1967, Rick furthered his education at Western Nebraska Vocational-Technical School. His love for learning continued throughout his life, as he was known as a jack of all trades. Whether tinkering with old cars, fixing anything that came through his door, or exploring his interests in hunting, fishing, and woodworking, Rick had a knack for mechanics that many admired.
His most treasured accomplishment was the loving bond he shared with his wife, Olga. The couple met while he was driving around in his iconic mach one Mustang and they married on May 26. Their marriage spanned over 52 wonderful years, filled with love, laughter, and mutual support.
Rick cherished the joyous memories of his youth spent playing basketball and baseball and shared his love for music as a band member, playing guitar. In every aspect of his life, Rick remained a true Nebraska Huskers fan. A devoted member of the VFW, he committed himself to honoring fellow servicemen and women. After graduating from school, he joined the Army, a proud chapter in his life that shaped his character and values.
Rick dedicated much of his life to his career as a business owner, proudly operating Uptown Electrics in Imperial, where he earned the respect and admiration of customers and neighbors alike. His entrepreneurial spirit was a testament to his hard work and commitment to service.
Rick is survived by his loving sons, Lance (Janiel) Kimble and Jason (Amanda) Kimble, along with his grandchildren, Virginia, Joslyn, Annabelle, Cruz, and Summer, who will cherish his memory forever.
