Kelly Pflum passed away on August 30, 2024, in Castle Rock, Colorado, at the age of 61. She was born on September 4, 1962, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Lloyd A Pflum Jr. and Donna Ruthe (Roedel) Pflum. Kelly grew up in rural chase county. She graduated from Chase County High School, laying the foundation for a compassionate career as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Kelly was deeply committed to her profession working in Nursing Home Care. Her warmth and empathy left a lasting impact on both her patients and their families. The qualities she exemplified not only made her a respected healthcare provider but also a cherished friend to many. Kelly will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but for her deep love for her family and the friendships she nurtured throughout her journey.
Family was the cornerstone of Kelly's life. She loved spending time with her sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kelly's love for her family was evident in every gathering and shared memory, which she cherished deeply.
Beyond her work and family, Kelly loved listening to country music and enjoyed attending concerts whenever possible. Her enthusiasm for life extended to her devotion to Husker Football, even at this worst, she was a committed fan.
Kelly is survived by her sons, Robert J. (Julie) Pflum and Steven A. (Hallie) Pflum and grandchildren; Meagan Kilpatrick, Camron Kilpatrick, Sofie Pflum, Jayden Pflum, Andrew Wiest, Brody Pflum, Carston Pflum, Danica Pflum, Kristina Pflum, and Alexandria Pflum, and great-grandchildren; Oliver Gift, Oaklee Bellmyer, Ryker Fortin, and Ainsley Kilpatrick.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Pflum; and sisters Kaye Eskew and Kim West.
A memorial service will be held Monday, September 9, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Scott Adle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
Memorial Contributions may be given to Kelly’s family to be designated at a later date.
