Jaxson Todd Damon, a seven year old with an infectious laughter and a huge love for his family, tragically passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025, in Benkelman, NE with his mother. Jaxson was born on June 15, 2018 in Benkelman, NE to Michael and Rayetta Buffington-Damon.
Like most young boys, Jaxson loved playing video games on any device. He loved to talk and share stories, he loved to teach people about the games he was playing. He enjoyed being near and in the water any chance he could. Mario, Sonic and Minecraft, were among the favorites but he enjoyed almost any video game.
When he wasn't gaming, there was a good chance you could find him watching youtube videos about gaming. Outside of this passion, he loved school and excelled in his studies. He was always willing to teach you new things and tell you what he learned in school that day. He loved talking to family and keeping them updated about what was going on and he was excited to start the second grade.
Jaxson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Buffington, his grandmother, Gayle Szymanski, his older brother, Raiden Buffington and his mother, Rayetta Buffington-Damon.
Jaxson is survived by his father, Michael; Step Brothers, Christopher Shirk (Harley), Michael Damon; his step sister, Isabella Schrieber; his grandmother, Rojene Buffington, aunt, Hillary Ramsey, uncle, Lincoln Buffington (Andrea), aunt Erica Mugler-Smith (Kyle) Krystal King (Ron) and Donna Veroneau along with numerous cousins and extended family friends.
