Frederick "Fred" Dale Hoffman

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Frederick Dale Hoffman of Imperial, NE, on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the age of 79. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 32 years, Lisa; his son, Douglas Carl (Kimmy); his beautiful granddaughters, Grace and Mabel; sister, Joan Zach (Don); Sister-in-law Karen Harrington, Brother-in-Law Tim (Karen) Harrington, and numerous other family and friends.

Fred was born in Ottawa, Kansas, on November 28, 1944. During his childhood, he moved to Nebraska, which became his true home state, and was raised by his grandparents, Oscar and Jenny Meyer. Fred graduated from Omaha Tech High School in 1962. He worked for 25 years as manager at the Hinky Dinky Grocery Store and 7 years at Loziers. Fred enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he loved very much. He enjoyed watching Nebraska Volleyball and Football, and he especially enjoyed the time he spent hunting and fishing with his son, Douglas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Fred Hoffman’s name to Chase County Schools of Imperial, NE, or Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School of Laurel, NE.
