Donna McNair

Donna Raye McNair was born August 10, 1937, In Imperial, Nebraska, to Glen and Elsie (Weiss) Case. She grew up and attended school in Imperial graduating from Chase County High School.

Donna married Jack L. Browning on February 27, 1954, and the couple settled and made Imperial their home. Donna was employed for many years in resident care at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home and later as a physical therapist assistant at Chase County Hospital until retirement.

Later in life, Donna married Robert D. McNair on May 5, 1990. She was a lifelong resident of Imperial except the last twenty-two months making her home with Granddaughter, Sayward, in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Donna was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial. She enjoyed playing cards especially, hand and foot, pitch, and bridge. Donna loved to read and watch John Wayne movies.


Donna passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Grand Island, Nebraska. Donna was 85 years of age.

Daughter: Annie Catron of Bridgeport, NE

Grandchildren: Amy, Jenn, Zeb, Cory, Amanda, Sayward, Case, Aoife, Sean, Aodhan, Amber, Jessie, Betsy, Abbey, Simon, Casey, Daniele, and Frank.
Great-Grandchildren: Leigh, Jessyca, Carter, Addison, Cayden, Mikiah, Colbi, Evelyn, Andrew, Chris, Cody, Mariah, Skyla, Allana, Tristan, Ander, Maeve, Jack, Parker, Amber, Jessie, Kate, Austin, Arianna, Cody, Colton, Ty, Blake, Brynn, Sydney, Preston, Devin, Payton, Quentin, Kaylee, Cambree, Landon, Avery, Lyric, Lydia, June, Tyler, Samuel, Hanah, Tobias, and Jude.

Great-Great Grandchildren: Jaxson and Quinn

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, October 11, 2022, 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor Scott Adle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.

No visitation, Donna chose cremation.

A memorial, In Donna’s memory, has been suggested to the McNair family for a future designation.
