Delorse Baney departed this life at 101 years of age on November 13, 2023 at Cappella Assisted Living in Pueblo, Colorado.
Delorse Aleen Baney was born February 3, 1922 to Norma (Havens) and Perry Guycle Glendenning at the Daniel Havens home in Keya Paha County, Nebraska. After graduating from Keya Paha County High School in 1940, Delorse then graduated from Normal Teachers Training and taught school for 5 years. At the age of 88, she taught middle and high school art students to crochet at Patriot Learning Center in Falcon, Colorado. As a lifelong letter writer, Delorse sent hand written notes of encouragement to others right up to the time of her passing.
