Samantha D Oxford

Samantha Dawn Oxford was born October 28, 1998, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Chad and Tara Oxford. As a young girl, Samantha grew up in Imperial and attended Chase County Schools graduating from Chase County High School in 2019.

Samantha enjoyed the Nebraska Special Olympics bowling team, crafting her ladybugs and caterpillars, Sunday drives, dancing and listening to music, reading, riding her bike, walks, riding horses and watching drag racing with dad. Samantha earned the Browning-Hilger Award in 2004 from the Nebraska State Fire School. An award for special children named after a former Fire Chief from Imperial. Samantha especially loved spending time with family and friends. She taught us all kindness, unconditional love and always had a hug to give.

Samantha passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at the Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was 22 years of age.

Samantha was preceded in death by her grandmother Linda Oxford and step-grandfather Kevin Jensen.

Cousins: Trevor Oxford of Imperial, NE; Tyler (Mallory) Oxford of Imperial, NE; and Destry Oxford of Enders, NE.

Funeral Services for Samantha will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, 10:30 a.m. (MT), at Zion Lutheran Church, Imperial, NE, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, NE.

A memorial has been suggested in Samantha’s memory to the Oxford family for a future designation.
