Russell Schilke
Russell Dale Schilke was born February 22, 1961, in Imperial, Nebraska, to Dorman R. and Marla F. (Jaeger) Schilke. Russ (as he was known), grew up and attended school in Imperial, graduating from Chase County High School in 1979.
Russ was the consummate farmer and rancher. He assisted his parents on the family farm as a young man, and joined the family operation as he grew older. He loved the ranching side of the business, riding, roping, and caring for the livestock was a passion.
Russ married LaRae D. Wilson on April15, 2017, at the Schilke Branding, near Imperial, and they made their home on the family farm.
Russ was a team roper, and won several belt buckles and saddles in different contests. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, and enjoyed hunting and golfing.
Russ passed away Sunday evening, December 23, 2018 at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE. He was 57 years of age.

Step-Daughter: Shela Alsip, of Lorena, TX
1 Granddaughter: Cheyenne Lemcke
4 Step-Grandchildren: Gabriel and Dylan Behee, and Tristan and Harlie Alsip
Brother: Mark Schilke and wife, Cathy, of Imperial, NE
Sister: Deb Harmon and husband, Dave, of Imperial, NE
Russ was preceded in death by his Paternal grandparents; Robert and Anna Schilke, Maternal Grandparents; Pat and Delma Jaeger, Uncles; Bill Jaeger, Marvin Schilke,, Kermit Schilke, and Wayne Schilke. Aunt; Sharon Jaeger, Niece; Haisley Schilke
Funeral Services will be held Friday morning, December 28th, 2018, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon, December 27, 2018, 2:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. (MT) at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established to the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial.
