Norma J. Schultz
Norma Jean Schultz was born at Enders, Nebraska, November 2, 1930. She was born one of nine children of Theodore and Susie (Herbert) Einspahr. Norma grew up in Wauneta, graduating from Wauneta High School in May 1948.
Norma moved to Imperial in 1948, working at Bentz Studio and Bab’s Café. She later moved to Idaho where her brother Richard Einspahr lived, working for several months before moving back to Imperial. When she returned, she married Joe William Schultz July 21, 1952 at Holyoke, Colorado. They moved to Muleshoe, Texas, in 1952, then to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they lived until 1980. They had their own business “The Antique Store” in Black Forest, Colorado. They moved back to Texas in 1980 and had an antique business, later retiring at Port Lavaca, Texas, until moving back to Wauneta.
Norma passed away early Tuesday morning of October 25, 2011 at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. She was 80 years old. She was a Life Member of the Southwestern Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was also a Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Norma enjoyed doing embroidery work for her family and friends, she also enjoyed reading. When she and Joe lived in Texas they loved going to the beach.
Norma was preceding in death by her parents, two brothers: Richard Einspahr and Robert Einspahr, and one sister Millie Long.
Survivors Include: Husband: Joe Schultz of Wauneta, NE Sisters: Beulah Purdy of Wauneta, NE Delores Cappel and husband Claude of McCook, NE Brothers: Wayne Einspahr and wife, Shirley of Sutherland, NE Don Einspahr and wife, Pat of McCook, NE Alvin Einspahr and wife, Kaye of Enders, NE Sister-In-Law: Marla (Marty) Einspahr of Indianola, NE Numerous Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services were held at Immanuel Missionary Church, Wauneta, Friday, October 28, 2011, with Pastor Gary Hunt officiating. The organist was Nina Hallett with musical selections by “The Hunt Family”.
Casketbearers were: Victor Einspahr Doug Cappel Terry Einspahr Ronnie Purdy Bill Cappel Chris Einspahr Jerry Purdy Rod Cappel Kelly Einspahr David Einspahr Mike Cappel Kerry Einspahr Alvin Lee Einspahr Steve Cappel Mike Einspahr Donald Einspahr Interment immediately followed at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial.
A memorial has been established to Wauneta- Palisade Grade School.
