Longtime resident of Imperial passed away Monday morning, July 27th, 2015, at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home, Imperial. Karen was 64 years of age.
Survivors include: Mother: Jane Heltne of Hastings, NE. Jerry Wood of Imperial, NE Daughter: Kellee Nielson and Husband, Jarrod, of Wallace, NE Daughter-In-Law: Lisa Wood of Imperial, NE 6 Grandchildren 1 Great-Grand Brothers Kent Heltne and wife, Cindy, of Scottsdale, AZ Terry Heltne and wife, Lynn of Denver, CO. Sisters: Jill Ricketts and Husband, Jeff, of Lincoln, NE Sandra Freese and Husband, Todd, of Minneapolis, MN
Funeral Services for Karen Wood will be held Thursday afternoon, July 30th, 2015, 2:00 P.M. (MT) at the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at the Morning View Cemetery, Wallace, NE starting at 5:00 P.M. (MT).
Visitation will be held at the church before services on Thursday afternoon.
A memorial has been established to the National MS Society or to Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, NE.
