Gregory William Hayes was born to William and Wanda (Cook) Hayes in Imperial, Nebraska on December 2, 1960. He was united in marriage to Tina Crystal on July 20, 1991 in Champion, Nebraska. The couple made Imperial their home. Greg was a hard worker; he started out in farming and ranching with Avey Hudnall and Lee German. He would eventually become a self-employed farmer and rancher. His main hobby in life was work, but he was also a proud grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Greg passed away Saturday morning, February 28, 2015 at the Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Imperial. He was 54 years of age.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild and adoptive parents Lee and Leola German.
Survivors include: Wife, Tina Hayes Adopted parents, Alvin and Cora Mae Harmon Son, John Stegmaier and wife, Jaime Daughter, Candace Coon and husband, Lance Son, Stephen Hayes Adopted Children: Aaron Eskew and wife, Ashley and Jenn Brewer and Josh Hust Grandchildren: Austin and Cameron Stegmaier; Gabriel, Jonathen and Elena Coon Adopted Grandchildren: Sebastian, Adelle and Cy Eskew; Lee and Cory Badberg Sister, Susan Irey and husband, Dave Brother, Tom Hayes and wife, Karen Mother-in-law, Delores Ratliff and husband, Dalen Father-in-law, Bill Crystal and wife, Dollie Brother-in-law, Ron Crystal Sister-in-law, Dawn Crystal Sister-in-law, Misty Ratliff Brother-in-law, Heath Michael Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. (MT), Saturday morning, March 7, 2015 at the Imperial Bible Church with Pastor Robby Clay and Mr. Kent Swink officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Imperial.
Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. (MT) Friday afternoon, March 6, 2015 at the funeral home in Imperial.
A memorial has been established to the New Tribes Mission.
