Chris Frankie Lutz was born June 24, 1935, near, Parks, Nebraska, to Marlin and Ella (Penn) Lutz. Frankie (as he was known) grew up and assisted on the family farm, graduating from Parks High School in 1953. He continued his education by attending college.

On September 5, 1954, Frankie married Marilyn Morehouse at the Methodist Church in Benkelman, Nebraska. The couple settled and made their home these many years on the farm six miles east of Benkelman, NE.

Frankie had many hobbies including: reading, watching old westerns, telling stories of the past, watching the corn grow, and raising cattle. He especially enjoyed his grandkids and great-grandkids. Teasing them was always on the top of his list. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Benkelman. He was also a member of the JC’s in the earlier years, as well as serving on the fair board and local school board.

Frankie passed away, Friday Evening, May 29, 2020, at the Dundy County Hospital. Frankie was 84 years of age.


Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Linn, Dale, LeRoy, and Martin Lutz. sister; Leanne Andres, in-laws; Dr. G Albert and Marguerite Morehouse; sister-in-law and husband; Margie and Don Ehle

As per Frankie’s wishes, cremation was chosen with no funeral services.


A memorial has been suggested to the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home of Benkelman, Nebraska.
