Erma Kitt
Erma G. (Lorance) Kitt, was born on February 26, 1912 and passed away peacefully on October 14, 2015. She was one of four daughters born to Cloyd and Edith Lorance and spent her childhood on the family farm south of Wauneta.
On July 25, 1933 she married Kenneth V. Kitt and they made their first home at his family farm south of Wauneta where their son, Robert D. Kitt was born. They moved to their own farm northwest of Wauneta where they resided until retiring and moving into Wauneta.
Erma was a talented musician and was a part of a local band from the age of 13. Playing for dances with her sisters as they grew up, provided many special memories for her and she loved sharing the stories. She played the piano by ear and continued sharing her music with others until her health failed in the last few years.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenneth in 1986 and her daughter –in-law, Patricia in 2014. She is survived by her son, Robert Kitt, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren as well as other friends and family.
A private family inurnment will be held with Rev. Bonnie McCord officiating.
No visitation; cremation was chosen.
A memorial has been established to the United Methodist Church of Wauneta.
