EDNA KEISER
Edna Lela (Legg) Keiser, daughter of J.C. (Jack) and Harriett (Shafer) Legg was born April16th, 1929, in Wichita, Kansas. She passed away on July 31st, 2015, at the Imperial Manor in Imperial, NE at the age of 86.
Edna attended Evergreen School east of Holyoke, Co until the family moved to the Highland Center Community southeast of Haxtun, CO in 1944.She continued her education at Highland Center and Haxtun High School.
Edna was united in marriage to Elmer Keiser on February 20th, 1955 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Wauneta, NE. She was Baptized and Confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church April 11th, 1957, by Reverend Roy Bleick.
Elmer and Edna made their home south of Enders in rural Dundy County. She enjoyed helping on the farm, baking, cake decorating, gardening, canning fruits and vegetables, sewing and raising chickens.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, her parents, Jack and Harriett Legg, brothers, Howard, John, Glen, and Elmer Legg. Sister, Vera Eliot; half-brother, Cecil Legg:half-sisters, Nadine (Legg) Grimsinger and Mary (Legg) Shafer.
Survivors include: Sons: Rodney Keiser of rural Enders, NE Richard Kesier and wife, Janet, of Wauneta, NE Daughter: Marcia Comly and Husband Richard of Boulder, CO 4 Grandchildren: Aaron Keiser, of Enders,NE, Brennan Keiser of St. Louis, MO. Patrick Comly of Calgary, Canada, and Ross Comly of Boulder, CO. Sisters: Elma Hinde of Otis, CO. Wilma Parsons of Berthoud, CO. Sister-In-Law: Sharlene Legg of Haxtun, Co. Numerous Cousins, Nieces, and Nephews
Funeral Services for Edna Keiser will be held Thursday morning, August 6th, 2015, 10:00 A.M. (MT) at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, rural Wauneta, NE, with Pastor Keith Wellman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wauneta, NE.
Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, August 5th, 2015, 2:00P.M. – 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home in Wauneta. Memorials have been established to the Mercy Meals of Southwest Nebraska or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Wauneta, NE.
