    August 22, 1931 - August 15, 2015

    Bonnie Yost Bonnie Lucille Yost was born to William and Georgia (Thomas) Williamson on August 22, 1931 in Stratton, Nebraska. She attended school in Hitchcock County and graduated with the Stratton High School Class of 1948. Bonnie was united in marriage to Paul Eugene Yost at the Stratton Pilgrim Holiness Church in Stratton, NE on November 14, 1948. The couple settled at the homeplace southwest of Champion, NE. They then lived for a time, in Colorado Springs, CO, on a farm north of Wauneta, NE, Rocky Ford, CO, Enders, NE and finally settling in Wauneta for the remainder of their lives. Bonnie was a homemaker, worked as a clerk at the local grocery store, an administrative assistant at the Wauneta Public Schools and a volunteer at the Sunrise Heights Nursing Home in Wauneta reading to the residents. She was a member of the Wauneta Church of the Nazarene, enjoyed sewing, piano playing, reading, crocheting afghans for family and working on puzzles. Nothing was more important in life for Bonnie than talking with her savior, Jesus Christ, reading her bible and caring for her family. Bonnie Yost passed away early Saturday morning, August 15, 2015, at the Sunrise Heights Nursing Home in Wauneta. She was 83 years of age. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; infant daughter, Paulette Sue; parents; sisters: Irene, Ireva, and Wilda and brothers: Gale, Earl and Bill. Survivors Include: Son: Roger Yost and wife, Alice, of Maxwell, NE Daughter: Jan Satterlee and Husband, Steve, of Bartlesville, OK Daughter: Paula Staman and Husband, Tam, of Crawford, NE Daughter: Peg Vlasin and husband, Mike, of Wray, CO 19 Grandchildren 32 Great-Grandchildren Sister: Wilma Egle and Husband, Dwight, of Wauneta, NE Graveside services for Bonnie Yost will be held Tuesday morning, August 18th, 2015, 11:00 A.M.(MT) at the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, with Son; Roger Yost officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning, August 18th, 2015, starting at 10:00 A.M. (MT) until service time at the funeral home in Wauneta.
