Betty Jean Parrish was born March 2nd, 1945, in Columbia, South Carolina, to Harold C. and Edna H. (Daschofsky) Parrish. As a young girl she moved with her family to Imperial, Nebraska, where she attended school.
Betty moved to McCook, Nebraska, in 1974, and began a long career working for the Southwest Area Training Services. Betty enjoyed collecting dolls, writing in notebooks, listening and singing along to music, playing bingo, being outside, shopping, and getting her nails done. Betty also enjoyed playing with her great-nephews; Cody and Weston.
Betty passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 2, 2013, at Community Hospital, McCook, Nebraska. She was 68 years of age.
Survivors Include: Mother: Edna Parrish of Imperial, NE Brother: Duane Parrish of Bennett, NE Nieces: Felicia Nichelson and Husband, Travis, of Bennett, NE Jennie Ernest and Husband, Will, of Firth, NE Angie Parrish of Bennett, NE Great-Nephews: Cody Nichelson of Bennett, NE and Weston Ernest of Firth, NE Betty was preceded in death by her father, Harold, in 1992.
Funeral services for Betty will be 10:30 A.M. (MT), Saturday, October 5, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Imperial, Nebraska with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, NE.
The casket will be open prior to services, Saturday, October 5, 2013, for viewing at the church.
Memorials are suggested to the Southwest Area Training Services, McCook, Nebraska.
