Austin Wright Austin James Wright entered this world August 25, 1995, to Angela (Gleason) and Quinton Wright in Grand Island, NE. He attended Engleman Elementary and Shoemaker Elementary in Grand Island, NE, McCook Public Schools in McCook, Ne, and Mid Plains Community College in North Platte, NE. Austin was active in soccer, baseball, basketball, football, and track. Austin was blessed with a niece, his pride and joy, Brailyn Powell, who he would spend many hours playing with. Austin also touched the lives of his numerous friends with his kind heart, knowledge, and ability to talk about anything and debate it into the ground, and of course get the last word. He also enjoyed fishing and playing catch with his brother Tyler and sitting around watching movies and talking to his sister Erin. Austin Wright passed away tragically, near Palisade, Nebraska. He was 18 years of age. Survivors include: Parents: Angela and James Christner of Palisade, NE., and Quinton Wright of Grand Island, NE., Brother; Tyler and his wife, Haley Wright, of McCook, NE., Sister; Erin Wright of Palisade, NE. Step-brother; Jason and his wife, Crystal Hicks, of Palisade, NE., Step-brother; James Hicks, of Palisade, NE. Two sons; Kaeden and Sawyer, and one Daughter; Tatum. Grandparents; Richard and Delores Christner, of Palisade, NE., and James and Pearl Andrew of Palisade, NE. Along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Austin was preceded in death by his Grandparents; George “Hoss” and Linda Gleason, and James and Icyle Wright. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon,, April 21st, 2014, 1:30 P.M. (CT) at the Hamlet Union Church, Hamlet, NE, with Pastor Kevin McGraw officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, NE  A memorial has been established in Austin’s memory.  On line condolences can be left at liewerfuneralhome.com
