Ann L Wissink

Ann Louise Wissink was born on June 15, 1939, to LeRoy (Pete) and Jewell (Lines) Barnett, on the family homestead near Stratton, Nebraska. As a young lady she grew up and attended school in Stratton, graduating from Stratton High School in 1957. Ann continued her education attending business school in Denver.

Ann was a resident of Stratton, Nebraska, for 76 years. She was employed by the State of Nebraska, as a social worker for 35 years. Ann was a member of the Stratton United Methodist Church, and served on the Stratton Public Library Board. She enjoyed reading, collecting Santa Claus figurines and memorabilia, and taking walks.

Ann passed away early Monday morning, April 1, 2019, at the Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman. She was 79 years of age.

Daughter: Annette Silkman (Darren), Blue Springs, MO
Daughter: Ronnie Ann Richardson, (Joel) Stratton, NE
Son: Jerry Wissink, (Peri) of Stratton, NE
10 Grandchildren
7.5 Great-Grandchildren

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Jewell

Funeral Services will be held Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2019, 2:00 P.M. (Central Time) at the United Methodist Church of Stratton, NE with Pastor Rod Heilburn officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Stratton.

Visitation will be held Thursday Morning before services.

A memorial has been suggested to the Stratton Public Library
