    Ann Rowley

    September 21, 1941 - November 10, 2013

    Ann Rowley Anna Kathrine Rowley was born September 21, 1941, to Jay John and Doris Elizabeth (Meisner) Ruppert on the family farm near Quick, Nebraska. Ann attended country school for eight years and graduated from Curtis High School in 1959. Ann married Cecil Warren Rowley on August 15, 1959, and the couple settled in Wauneta. Ann first worked at the lumberyard in Wauneta and then at Walgren’s Supermarket where she worked as a meat cutter for 38 years, retiring in 2010. Ann loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, working on puzzles, being on Facebook, and going to Crossroads for coffee. Ann was a member of the Church of Christ in Wauneta where she and Cecil were baptized on May 18, 1989. Ann passed away Sunday evening, November 10th, 2013, at the Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, NE. She was 72 years of age. Ann was preceded in death by her parents; husband Cecil Rowley; son Russell Rowley; daughter Patty Rowley; brothers Dale and Homer Ruppert; sister-in-law Lola Ruppert; brothers-in-law Gary Trosper, Marlin Zimbelman, and Ferris Magee. Survivors Include: Sons: Jerry Rowley and wife Lori of Imperial, NE. Kelly Rowley and wife Amanda of Logan, UT. 8 Grandchildren: Cherie Maline, Celeste Wenger, Lora Villarreal, Anthony Rowley, Keltyn, Kadrian, Annaka and AlliJo Rowley 4 Great-Grandchildren: Jarod and Jake Wenger, Jaxsen and Benjamin Villarreal Brothers: John Ruppert of McCook, NE. Robert Ruppert and wife Jean of Maywood, NE. Sisters: Helen Magee of McCook, NE. Mary Zimbelman of McCook, NE. Local Sisters-In-Law: Donna Ruppert of McCook, NE. Naomi Ruppert of McCook, NE. Local Brother-In-Law: Roger Rowley of Wauneta, NE. Funeral Services for Ann Rowley will be held Thursday morning, November 14th, 2013, 10:30 A.M. (MT) at the Wauneta Church of Christ, Wauneta, NE, with Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta. Visitation will be held Wednesday afternoon, November 13th, 2013, 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. (MT) at the Funeral Home in Wauneta.
