Shirley Reeder
Shirley Ann (Zastrow) Reeder was born October 4, 1933, in Seward County, Nebraska, to Otto and Alice (Foreman) Zastrow. Shirley grew up and attended school in Cordova, Nebraska, graduating from Cordova High School in 1950. She furthered her education by attending college and becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Shirley married Junior Duane Reeder on August 3, 1973, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island, Nebraska, and the couple settled in Grand Island, where Shirley was employed by the VA Hospital. In 1976, Shirley and Junior moved to Imperial, where Shirley was employed at the Chase County Hospital and the Imperial Manor Nursing Home for many years. Shirley retired in 2002 from the Imperial Manor and enjoyed traveling and visiting family and friends.

Shirley had many hobbies including reading, crocheting, sewing, corresponding on her computer and she loved to play bridge. Shirley was the consummate hugger. She enjoyed hugging everyone she knew; to brighten their day as well as her own. She was also a long time member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial.

Shirley passed away early Monday Morning, September 26th, 2016, at the Chase County Community Hospital, Imperial. Shirley was 82 years of age.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Junior in 2014, daughter; Patricia Hoover, Granddaughter; April Reeder, and Grandson; Gary Bradley

Memorial Service for Shirley Reeder will be held Thursday Morning, September 29th, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial, with Pastor David Kahle officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Imperial, NE

Visitation, Shirley chose cremation
